Welcome to our story! We are Zelvin and Mieke Botha, a passionate couple who loves the local church and is dedicated to building the kingdom of Jesus Christ. Our journey together has been fueled by prayer, coffee, and a deep desire to help people discover their purpose in life.
Zelvin, the coffee-loving half of our dynamic duo, finds inspiration and strength through the power of prayer. He believes that a strong connection with God is essential in guiding our steps and unlocking our true potential. With his unwavering faith, Zelvin aims to inspire and uplift others, encouraging them to seek their own divine purpose.
Mieke, on the other hand, is known for her remarkable kindness and caring nature. She has a genuine desire to make life easier for those around her and is always ready to lend a helping hand. Mieke’s compassion shines through her actions, as she consistently goes above and beyond to support and encourage others on their life journeys.
Our faith in Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our lives. We wholeheartedly adore and love Him, and it is through His grace that we find the strength to carry out our mission of building His church. Together, we strive to create an environment where people can experience the transformative power of Christ’s love and discover their unique purpose within His plan.
As a family, we are blessed with four beautiful children who bring joy and adventure to our lives. Our two boys, Luca and Matteo, and our two girls, Mijean and Limay, fill our days with laughter, love, and cherished memories. We embrace the joys and challenges of parenthood, always seeking to instill in our children the values of faith, compassion, and a desire to serve others.
At the core of our hearts, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of those around us. Whether it’s through our involvement in the local church, guiding individuals towards their purpose, or simply being a source of support, we strive to be vessels of God’s love and grace. Together, we embrace the journey of life, knowing that our purpose is found in serving others and building a legacy that points people towards Jesus Christ.

Hey there, I'm Francois de Beer, and I'm thrilled to be serving as the location pastor at Hello Church Brisbane!
Throughout my journey in ministry, I've had the privilege of serving in various capacities, including preaching, teaching, and worship. My passion for ministry stems from a deep-seated love for witnessing people being changed into the image of Christ.
Family is at the core of everything I do, and I'm incredibly blessed to have my remarkable wife, Angelique, and our two amazing kids, Joah and Ame, by my side. They are my inspiration and driving force, spurring me on to serve with unwavering love and dedication.
My heart beats for seeing individuals and families embrace the transformative power of Christ. I firmly believe in the local church's ability to impact our world significantly. It's more than just a building; it's a dynamic community of believers striving to reflect the love and character of Jesus.
As your pastor, my commitment is to cultivate a warm and supportive environment where everyone can thrive in their faith journey. I'm here to walk alongside each member of our church, offering support, encouragement, and guidance as we collectively live out the Gospel and shine as beacons of light in our community.

The church we envision for Brisbane is a community known locally and globally for serving with no strings attached.
It is a church big enough to reach the world but small enough to feel like home. We see a church filled with powerful worship where people passionately engage in the presence of God. It is a place where the Holy Spirit is welcomed and embraced without being considered weird.
We see a community that remembers the poor and forgotten, caring for their needs in practical ways.
Our vision is for this church to have invited influence and unreasonable favor in the city and around the world. We want it to have a seat at the table and a voice in the conversation. We envision a strategic partnership with other churches and organizations to make the world a better place and expand the Kingdom. In this community, creatives collaborate to honor God and inspire people. The dream team of leaders and ministers live out God’s dream for their lives through the local church.
We envision a church with altars full of people being ministered to by equipped & empowered leaders.
This church reaches out to people far from God, teaching them how to follow Jesus. We see a church where the Word of God is shared with passion and clarity. It is a church that proclaims the Gospel unapologetically, with excellence and creativity evident in every detail. Within this church, there is a world-class children’s ministry, raising up the next generation of leaders who love Jesus and the local church.
We see a church that sends missionaries and church planters, carrying the Gospel around the globe to see people saved, healed, set free, and made whole.
It serves as a reminder that there is no ground too hard for the Gospel. The overflow of this church is seen in the form of songs, books, and resources that strengthen churches, inspire leaders, and build hope. It is a growing church that cannot be contained by buildings, with an influence that the world cannot ignore.

What we
BELIEVE
We believe in one true God who is eternal and Creator of all things. He co-exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He loves us all and wants to be in relationship with us.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and through it God speaks today. It is infallible, authoritative and everlasting. It is total truth and provides us with principles for every area of life.
We believe that sin has separated all of us from God and only God can provide a remedy.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world as our Saviour. Jesus died on a cross and rose from the dead and all who repent and believe in Him can have forgiveness and eternal life. As believers we are baptised in water by full immersion as a public declaration of our faith in Jesus.
We believe that God’s Spirit both indwells and empowers the believer. The Spirit filled life gives us the ability to live with Godly character and provides us with spiritual gifts that enable us to fulfil God’s purposes on Earth.
We believe that the church is the ‘body of Christ'. As we meet together regularly, in both large groups and in homes, we grow in our faith, fulfil the great commission, and build long lasting relationships.
We believe in miracles.
We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back.
